Job Summary
The Communications Officer/ Senior Communications Officer (6-month Maternity Cover) will support our internal and external communications strategy to ensure continuity and momentum. The role involves writing and disseminating publicity material and publication, responding to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinating promotional events.
Major responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role. The incumbent will report to the Head of Communication & Marketing.
Public Relations
- Support the execution of communication programmes and campaigns in line with the department’s strategy.
- Manage and execute ongoing communication initiatives to maintain public engagement.
- Cultivate strong media relations.
- Generate positive media coverage for KFBG.
Branding
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications.
- Assist in brand development that encapsulate the vision, mission, and programmes of KFBG.
Advertising
- Identify and manage appropriate advertising opportunities for KFBG.
- Manage advertising development, promoting KFBG mission and programmes in a controlled manner through paid channels.
Publication
- Coordinate the compilation, edition and production of publications including Annual Report and other organisation materials, ensuring timely delivery.
Social Media
- Work with internal teams to communicate KFBG’s mission and programmes in a consistent manner.
- Work with internal teams to develop online and offline content.
Handover
- Ensure a smooth and comprehensive handover of responsibilities and ongoing projects at the beginning and end of the contract period.
The incumbent may also be asked to perform an additional task according to the needs of the KFBG and formulated by the line manager.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Language.
- Equivalent experience in a similar role for a minimum of three years.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new environments and established workflows.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and deadlines effectively.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An Outgoing and collaborative team player.
- Driving license holder is preferred.
