Experiential Learning Programme Coordinator

Major responsibilities

To co-ordinate experiential programmes and projects to enrich visitors' learning experience at KFBG by integrating elements of Head, Hands and Heart into all possible programmes. And to work closely with KFBG internal teams and external partners to diversify the education programmes. 

The incumbent will report to Head of the Holistic Education Department. 

  • Responsible for co-ordinating special programmes and projects including those on Sundays and Public Holidays;
  • To handle programme operations, which include arranging logistics for transportation and meals, recruiting and managing a part-time teacher pool, collecting feedback from participants, and preparing reports;
  • To support the running of the visitor experience programmes such as managing activity booths, and other ad hoc programmes;
  • To support the operation of the Reception and its administration duties;
  • To work with Senior Education Officers, Education Officers, part-time programme assistants and nature education volunteers in delivering nature-based experiential activities;
  • To work with the Senior Administration Officer in the programme and office administration;
  • Assisting other educational programmes, such as the Kadoorie Earth Programme;
  • To receive special visitors of KFBG whenever required.

Job Requirements 

  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of KFBG
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, event management, administration or communication
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays a must
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in program management or support, preferably in an environment protection context, with proven skills in coordinating a variety of activities, including but not limited to workshops, residential retreats, meetings, and training
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing, and Zoom Platform
  • Familiarity on software skill such as use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Canvas, would be an advantage.
  • Good command of English and Cantonese. Command in Indonesian will be an advantage, although not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Physically fit for mild outdoor group activities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to work residentially occasionally
  • Valid Type I or II driving license is preferred.
