Part Time Project Officer (27 months contract)
再生農業部

Major responsibilities

Assist Regenerative Agriculture Department (RAD) to proceed programmes under HKEX Community Partnership Programme, funding project “Farming Hong Kong”. The scope of work includes farmer training courses, as well as promoting local urban agriculture and farm-based food education.

Event development and execution of the funding project; including

  • Farmer Training courses.
  • Workshops and seminar on urban agriculture.
  • Workshops and Farm Tours of farm-based food education.

Community engagement

  • Networking with potential units (e.g., community or school) which have good chance to develop urban farms .

“Farming Hong Kong” media platform

  • Maintaining the operation of “Farming Hong Kong” media platform, including website, Facebook and Instagram.

Administration Support

  • Managing financial revenue and expenditure arrangements.
  • Tools and material management.
  • Assist in writing project report.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Education, Social Science, Environmental Science or related disciplines.
  • Project management, agricultural science, agricultural management background and community garden operation is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, coordinating and delivering community projects or educational programs.
  • Well organized. Good communication and problem solving skills. Strong administrative and operating skills on educational programs.
  • Strong and positive work motivation. Committee to sustainable agriculture.
  • Applicant might need to work on weekends or public holidays (depends on work schedule).
  • 3 or 4 days per week, or 15 days per month (depends on applicant’s work experience and program schedule).
