The Sustainable Living Programme of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) exists to facilitate community transition to low carbon living and harmonising our relationship with the environment.  We are looking for an Assistant Officer of Guest Service who shares, and is willing to join us to further the mission.

Main Duties:
The job holder will handle front-desk duties and daily operations of Guest Services of KFBG Green Hub (GH) at Tai Po (www.greenhub.hk). He/She reports to the Guest Services Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Handle front desk duties and booking operation to perpetuate high quality reception services to the GH visitors and other SLD facilities users. Service areas include visitor reception and related facilities, service booking, guesthouse and co-op shop.
• Support cross-team programme at GH and work closely with external service providers to assure daily operation being executed in compliance to assure a safe, sustainable, pleasant and inspiring learning environment to GH visitors and facilities users.
• Support Visitor Experience Team in organizing Sunday Market and special events to mobilize use of guest facilities to enrich visitors’ experience.
• Work closely with all staff and volunteers to cultivate a vibrant culture towards KFBG mission.

 Requirements:

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
• Have a deep appreciation of sustainable living.
• Tertiary education. At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Good problem solving and organizing skills.
• Patience, attentive and calm. Have clear communication and people skills, being able to interact effectively with people from different sectors of the society
• Computer literacy is essential, and able to lead a transition towards paperless operation.
• Mature, initiative-taking, dynamic, a good team player and able to work under pressure and multi-tasking.
• 5-day work per week. Working on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, and duty-shift occasionally.
• Physically fit for outdoor activities
• Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
