Partnership Officer (6 months Contract)

Job Summary

Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) is a leading conservation and education centre dedicated to ecological restoration and public engagement. As KFBG expands its fundraising and visitor experience initiatives, this role is critical in bridging corporate engagement, event management, and habitat restoration to maximize impact and revenue. Lead KFBG’s donor and stakeholder engagement through high-impact events and partnership activations, bridging the Head of Development’s strategic goals with the Communications team’s outreach efforts.

Major responsibilities

  • External and Internal Coordination:
    • Plan, organize and executive volunteering events of various scales and formats, including tree planting, indoor workshop or outdoor volunteering events.
  • Developing and negotiating partnership agreements:
    • This involves creating proposals, outlining the terms of the collaboration, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with partners:
    • This includes regular communication, facilitating collaboration, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Representing KFBG in external meetings and events:
    • This involves communicating the organization's mission and goals to potential partners and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Event Management:
    • Corporate Events: Plan and execute high-impact experiences (Habitat Restoration, VIP tours, fundraising events, corporate volunteer days) to cultivate long-term partnerships and community connections.
      • Collaborate with various departments to develop projects that boost KFBG's visibility and strengthen ties within the community.
      • Manage the creation and execution of proposals and event materials to ensure consistency with the organization's brand, including leaflets, website content, publications, and social media posts.
      • Assess and analyse the effectiveness of visitor experience, events and stakeholder engagement.
      • Solicit funding support for projects, events, and programmes.
      • Support communications with members, donors and other stakeholders.
    • Update partners and event database:
      • Maintain and update the partner and event database, ensuring all records are current and accurately reflect collaborations, contracts, and event outcome.
    • Cross-Team Collaboration:
      • Marketing & Communications: Align event/retail messaging with KFBG’s campaigns.
      • Development Team: Identify donor prospects through event interactions and farm shop engagements.
    • Administrative & Compliance Duties:
      • Documentation: Maintain records of event expenditures, retail sales data, and donor feedback. Event photography and logistics organization.
      • Manage post event reviews, assessing objectives against actual delivery and documenting events for future reference.
      • Policy Adherence: Ensure all activities comply with KFBG’s ethical and operational guidelines.

Requirements

  • Adaptable: Good project management skills, entrepreneurial adaptability. Willing to switch between office-based planning and on-ground retail/event support.
  • Excellent Team Player: Collaborates with other departments, conservation teams, and volunteers.
  • Resilient: Comfortable working outdoors (farm shop/event venues) in varying weather.
  • Skills: Fluent in English & Cantonese; CRM/data proficiency; retail merchandising know-how. Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
  • 3-5 years of marketing and impact event experience. Experience with fundraising events will be an advantage. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Well organized and detail-minded. Outgoing and positive personality.

  • Friendly, hardworking, and motivated with good self-discipline.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions for extended periods.
  • A valid driving license would be an advantage.
