Check our Measures for Bad Weather

The measures KFBG will take when the following signals are issued by the Hong Kong Observatory:

KFBG closed

KFBG is closed when any of these signals is in force Rainstorm and Landslip Warnings
Red Rainstorm Warning Signal Red Rainstorm
Black Rainstorm Warning Signal Black Rainstorm
Landslip Warning Signal Landslip
Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above
No. 8 North East Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 NE
No. 8 North West Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 NW
No. 8 South East Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 SE
No. 8 South West Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 SW
No. 9 Increasing Gale or Storm Signal No. 9
No. 10 Hurricane Signal No. 10

After a signal is cancelled

  • KFBG will remain closed for 24 hours after a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning or a Landslip Warning is cancelled, to allow safety inspections to be carried out.
  • After Typhoon Signal No. 8 has been replaced by Typhoon Signal No. 3 or No. 1, KFBG will remain closed until emergency clearance or urgent repair work due to typhoon damage is completed.

Partially open

Upper Hillside temporarily closed and shuttle bus service suspended KFBG stays open, but the Upper Hillside is closed and the shuttle bus service does not run when any of these signals is in force.
