Leaf-shaped Wood Coaster Workshop

Would you like to create a stylish leaf-shaped coaster for your morning coffee? Join us for the Wood Coaster Workshop, where you can explore the art of woodworking and craft your own unique coaster!

During this workshop, we will introduce native species in Hong Kong that inspire the designs of our wooden coasters. Embracing environmental sustainability, we utilize reclaimed wood, ensuring that no unnecessary plants are harmed and extending the life of processed timber. You will also learn about the use of woodworking tools, including the wood saw, scraper, and sandpaper. Join us for a memorable experience where nature, creativity, and eco-consciousness converge!

Three species for choosing: Moneywort (Centella asiatica), Cuban Bast (Hibiscus tiliaceus), Elephant's Ear (Macaranga tanarius).

Date: 2 March 2025 (Sunday)

Time: 14:00 – 16:30

Venue: Art House, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden

Fee: $260 per person *The price does not include KFBG admission fee

Target: Any age (children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent)

Points to note

  1. All applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are deemed successful upon receipt of confirmation email.
  2. If KFBG cancels the event due to adverse weather, insufficient enrolment, or social situations, participants will be notified of refund arrangements by email. No refund will be made for non-attendance, and the event cannot be rescheduled once the application is confirmed.
  3. Participants must follow KFBG’s Visitor Guidelines: https://www.kfbg.org/en/announcements/visitors-guidelines
  4. If the applicant fails to follow instructions provided by staff, KFBG reserves the right to refuse admission without refund.
  5. Participation fees are charged per person, and prices are the same for adults and children.
