Have you ever locked eyes with a pair of big, round eyes in the forest? The creature is an owl, and it stands quietly on a branch as if holding the secrets of the forest. This workshop features the Asian Barred Owlet, recorded in the wild at KFBG, and invites you to learn about Hong Kong's owls!
The tutor has specially selected an owlet model designed and illustrated by Mr. Brade, a sculptor from Taiwan. Using light-cured resin 3D printing technology, the details are vivid and the poses realistic. Each participant will receive an unpainted model, and during the workshop, the tutor will guide you step by step to bring your little owl to life with unique colors!
Participants can refer to real images of owl for painting to experience the focus and fun of handcrafting, while also learning about the owl's body structure and features. Feel the birth of a small creature from nothing to something!
To ensure everyone can immerse themselves in creation with peace of mind, the tutor has chosen low-irritation, lightly scented water-based paints. If you accidentally get some on your hands, it can be easily washed off with water after the activity. Come and give your owl a unique feather colour, and create your own little forest companion! (After finishing, feel free to take photos with the owl animal ambassadors at KFBG’s Jim Ades Raptor Sanctuary!)
