KFBG provides support to Hong Kong’s migrant domestic workers with the “Connection to Nature for Migrant Domestic Workers in Hong Kong” project. Acknowledging the contribution of domestic workers to the city and recognising their need for opportunities to enhance their well-being, KFBG provides them with a day to enjoy nature at KFBG. Every Sunday, around 100 domestic workers engage in activities such as yoga, Zentangle or a Treasure Hunt in the green and peaceful surroundings of KFBG. Participants are picked up by bus in Central and Kowloon, a tasty vegan lunch is provided, and the whole day is free of charge.
Past participants have enjoyed the activities (particularly the yoga) and the chance to explore the nature reserve of KFBGand make new friends, describing it as “inspiring”, “relaxing” and “a mini-vacation”.
