Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) joins hands with renowned theatre artist Olivia Yan, founder of Lost Child Project Hong Kong, and Faye Leong, a seasoned theatre artist and lecturer at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, alongside nature educators, community members and artists, to launch an unprecedented programme ÉLAN Eartheatre – Regain The Lost Wings.
The first phase of children's nature and art workshops is currently underway, while the second phase featuring the environmental immersive theatre, premieres on 14 and 15 December at KFBG, marking a pioneering event in Hong Kong.
Based on nature, this event intertwines performing arts with nature, bringing them together to enhance the mental health of children. Sending blessings to participants, the people around them and the world, the event manifests a holistic education approach that advocates caring for others and respecting nature.

The environmental immersive theatre centres around the theme of “an ancient legend of an injured divine bird that protects the Earth”. Participants embark on an adventurous journey to explore the natural environment and enjoy performances and an eye-opening puppet parade, completing tasks with the characters in a race against time, combining their efforts to heal the bird's wounds and help it regain its wings. Children of different ages and their parents are welcome to join the experience, alongside an Earth art bazaar, nature and art workshops and seminars.
