Raptor Roost, our largest aviary, sits by the edge of the Walter Kerr Garden, behind the piggery. This facility houses large rescued birds of prey that cannot be released back to the wild.

Birds often become disorientated by the mirrored-glass skyscrapers of Hong Kong and fly full speed into windows. Many birds of prey arrive at the Wild Animal Rescue Centre injured or with some physical disability. Some have been escaped or abandoned pets. Those that cannot be released join the other Raptors at Raptor Roost.
