Assistant Administration Officer
Fauna Conservation Department
Major responsibilities
The Assistant Administration Officer will perform wide ranging administrative duties and provide support to department staff. For administration matters the direct reporting line is to the Senior Administration Officer (SAO).
The incumbent will report to the Senior Administration Officer.
Responsibility
- To perform general office administrative duties: handling phone calls, records keeping.
- To maintain effective (filing) systems for: Departmental documents, subscriptions and department library, fixed assets inventory and various records, i.e. staff leave, attendance, invoices, purchase orders.
- To assist in finance aspects as instructed by SAO: Reimbursement for departmental expenses and medical expenses of staff, maintain and update of the expenditure records.
- To maintain the procurement system: Support product sourcing, coordinate with local and overseas suppliers and perform buying duties when necessary.
- To provide administrative support for volunteer programme.
- To maintain the inventory of the feed storage.
- To provide support for staff’s travelling arrangement, i.e. flight bookings and visa application.
- To deputize for the role during SAO’s absence, i.e. minutes taking and translation work if required.
Job Requirements
- Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
- Higher Diploma or above with at least 3 years administrative work experience.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Putonghua would be an advantage.
- A good team player.
- Familiar with PC application, including MS Office and Chinese Typing.
- Open minded and recognizes the validity of all spiritual paths.
