From its early history as an experimental farm teaching agricultural skill to immigrants and home-bound Gurkhas, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden has evolved into one of Hong Kong's most important nature conservation organizations. In addition to being a treasured gem in Hong Kong's green zone, KFBG programmes are helping to protect native wildlife, change people's perception of the environment and reexamine the sustainability of their lifestyles.
