Paul CROW
Senior Conservation Officer
Fauna Conservation Department
Paul joined the department shortly after its establishment and was a key member of the rescue and rehabilitation team for over 20 years before changing his focus to management of specific conservation projects. Paul now manages conservation projects with a significant focus on reptile rescue and turtle conservation. A globally important project that falls under Paul’s purview is the Golden Coin Turtle Conservation Project. This was established to prevent the extinction of a local critically endangered and iconic turtle species. He is a zoologist and member of the IUCN Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group. In addition to the turtle conservation work, Paul advises KFBG on pest management issues, and coordinates and participates in the wild snake rescue programme and is a lead guide for KFBG night walks. Paul grew up in Hong Kong and as such developed a keen interest and expertise in local natural history.
