Serena CHUNG
Veterinary nurse
Fauna Conservation Department
Serena received a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Nursing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She joined the veterinary team of the Fauna Conservation Department in 2014. Her daily work includes taking care of injured and sick animals, monitoring the vital signs of wildlife patients during general anesthesia, and assisting the veterinarian with diagnostic procedures (e.g. x-ray and endoscopy). She has gained considerable experience caring for many different wild and captive animals and has daily routines that are essential for the well-being of the patients in the Veterinary Hospital. She is very passionate about her job with wildlife because every new case and new species can be a challenge and the goal of full recovery and return to the wild for native species can be complex.
