Joshua Lo
Arborist
Flora Conservation Department
I am an arborist responsible for leading the biochar team in the Forest Management section. Our team’s primary objective is to capture carbon from biomass and transform it into biochar, ultimately preventing carbon release into the atmosphere. This process not only contributes to carbon sequestration but also enables us to fully recycle wood debris by reintroducing it to the soil, thereby improving soil quality.
In addition, I am also involved in managing forest restoration projects. These projects aim to enhance the biodiversity of our local forests, ensuring they can provide a wide range of ecosystem services. Through my work as an arborist, I am passionately committed to sustainable forest management practices and the conservation of our natural resources. I firmly believe in the power of our forests to mitigate climate change, promote biodiversity, and provide essential services for both present and future generations.
