By studying the genetic diversity of plant species, KFBG scientists are able to identify and classify plants, as well as understand some causes of their rarity and how to overcome them. In Plant Encounter’s April session, Dr. Huarong Zhang and Dr. Feng Yang will showcase daily Conservation Genetics Lab work and explain how modern genetic techniques safeguard threatened local plants like the Incense Tree and native orchids,  thereby supporting biodiversity conservation. April 24 also marks KFBG's World DNA Day celebration, with fun booth games and hands-on lab tool trials!
