Immerse yourself in the natural world and discover the artistic potential of the Earth's raw materials. During this holistic Earth Art Workshop, you'll learn techniques to transform soil, clay, seeds, twigs, leaves and other organic elements into captivating works of art.
Explore the World of Earth Art
Earth art is a deeply ecological approach that raises consciousness about the importance of soil. By prospecting for and preparing your own natural pigments, you'll develop a deeper appreciation for the substance that sustains both plants and art.
Get Hands-On with Soil and Compost
This interactive experience introduces you to the relationships between soil structure, soil substance and human interactions – from composting to using soil as an art medium. You'll even get to build your own compost pile using a variety of organic materials.
Discover Natural Painting and Sculpting Techniques
Through a series of guided activities and experiments, you will:
- Utilise soil and clay as vibrant, earthy paint mediums.
- Explore techniques for blending and applying natural pigments to create textural paintings.
- Incorporate found objects like seeds, twigs and leaves into your artistic compositions.
