In the ecological treasure trove of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, we collaborate with the music performer Kawa to uncover the fading voices that the world is gradually forgetting. Amidst the undulating mountainous landscape, immerse yourself in a variety of exquisite soundscapes.
The summer solstice, marking the zenith of summer, heralds the day with the longest hours of daylight and the shortest night of the year. In this new rendition of Music Journey, we extend a heartfelt invitation to join us in the lower area of Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden on a summer day. Open your ears to the whispers of all living things, rediscover the art of listening to the messages conveyed by the land, and experience the symphony of nature with your heart. Embark on a unique journey through diverse natural ecosystems, encountering owls, ocelots, fireflies, frogs, snakes and more, while immersing yourself in the enchanting sunset vistas and the resplendent melodies of the forest. Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments or revel in the natural instruments provided by Kawa, harmonising with one another and weaving together beautiful rhythms, thus reconnecting with the natural world.
Serenity and tranquillity come not only from the environment but also from within oneself. This journey enables you to learn the art of listening when the Earth speaks and opens up possibilities for intimate sensory energy and experiences.

- Kadoorie Earth Programme (KEP) is an initiative co-created by KFBG and its network of collaborators and volunteers. By integrating the various strands of KFBG’s nature conservation, sustainable living and holistic education programmes, it provides life-transforming learning experiences that reconnect people with themselves, each other and the rest of nature and enable them to cultivate resilience in the face of global challenges.
- Nature Art Programmes: Immerse yourself in silent contemplation of nature. Deepen your awareness of beauty and connect with nature through art. KFBG organises a variety of different art workshops including Zentangle drawing, sketching, wood art and exhibitions, to guide participants, with or without artistic background, to create nature art.
- Nature Education Programmes: Become animal detectives and explore the mysteries of wild animals. Use different senses to discover the beauty of plants. Learn about the significance of forest, trees and even soils through field visits, experiments, and woodwork, to reconnect with nature.
- Group Guided Tours: Led by trained environmental interpreters, the content includes experiential and hands-on activities. We encourage a passion for nature, conservation and ecology by nurturing an appreciation of the natural world.
