A Better World
The Rescue Centre received two pangolins from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department in June and July 2013 respectively. After a complete health check, the animals were released back to the wild.
The Rescue Centre has received seven pangolins since 1994. Sightings of wild pangolins in Hong Kong are very rare. Although we only have limited information about the population of this species, we know that globally Chinese Pangolins have declined dramatically in the last 15 years and they are considered endangered across their natural range.
