A Gift from the Earth|A Day to Nourish Body and Soul 2026

From a tiny seed breaking through the soil, life unfurls in its fullest form. Sunlight, air and water – each one a quiet gift that makes growth possible. We invite you to look again at the food before you. You may glimpse the invisible threads that connect all living things. Sweet, bitter, sour, spicy – a spectrum of flavours, a palette of colours. This is what life tastes like. This is what life looks like.

Through food, we find our way back to the roots of existence. A sliver of sun, a fallen leaf – each one speaks of life’s quiet flow and honest truth. The beauty of living is not found in the extraordinary, but in the ordinary: what we wear, what we eat, where we rest, how we move.

Come, spend a day nourishing body and soul at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. Here, among the trees, we root ourselves in the earth and return, slowly, to the wisdom of the body. Through gentle contemplation, we reconnect with the seed of peace and joy that has always lived within us. We taste a meal grown from this land, in this season – mindfully, gratefully. We awaken our senses. We open our hearts. We receive nature’s blessing

Peace and joy, in the here and in the now.

Dear one, you have arrived, you are home.

The Journey of the Day:

  • Arrive & Awaken: Harvesting herbs and tasting tea, allowing the body and mind to settle with a cup of tea.
  • Root & Reflect: Connecting with the earth, awakening the seeds of inner peace and joy.
  • Notice & Nourish: Savouring local seasonal ingredients, rediscovering the dialogue between food and the body.
  • Flow & Embrace: Walking meditation on grass, writing letters to oneself, gently seeing oneself in nature.
  • Return & Rejoice: A bowl of sweet soup, a moment to share, returning home with nature’s blessings.

May we, together, water the seeds of peace and joy within. Happiness is here and now.

Facilitator

Kilo Ng

“Who am I?”, “Where do I come from?”, and “Where am I going?” are the questions that have fuelled Kilo’s lifelong quest for understanding. Driven by a profound curiosity about life, she embarked on a path of exploration and practice, where both her work and daily life are woven into the heart of the mountains and forests.

During her student years, her first-hand experience with farming taught her the effort required to produce food and the deep interconnection between sustenance, nature and humanity. Through various workshops and events, she witnessed the healing power of food – a power that transcends the individual and mere appetite to become a blessing from the land, nature and our ancestors. When the body and mind find stillness, each person’s inner strength can resurface.

Kilo currently manages Mori Pure, a sanctuary nestled in the mountains designed to provide a space for peace and reflection, where individuals can reconnect with themselves and others. She specialises in integrating nature immersion, mindful living and local cuisine, serving a diverse range of participants across all ages and backgrounds.
