Senior Wildlife Rehabilitation Keeper
Fauna Conservation Department
Major responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role. The incumbent will report to the Senior Wildlife Rehabilitation supervisor.
- To provide good care to confiscated animals and wildlife under rehabilitation.

- Responsible for the health and well-being of all animals and the integrity of housing and enclosures,
- Maintain a good standard of husbandry,
- Diet preparation and feed all animals according to dietary guidelines and feeding schedules,
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all enclosures and surrounding areas at all times,
- Monitor health of animals and report observations to Vet Staff,
- Conduct pre-release training schedule according to instructions.
- To assist and support supervisor in maintaining the daily operation of the wild animal rescue centre.

- To complete daily supportive tasks: cleaning station, laundry, etc.
- To regularly fill one of the daily work positions,
- To cover allocated AS and SAS responsibilities when supervisors are absent,
- To monitor feed and supplies,
- To report problems/ issues to the relevant sections.

- To assist with the training of new staff and volunteers.
Job Requirements
- At least 1-years relevant working experience, with hands-on experience in animal husbandry
- Possessed a qualification in biological science/ environmental science/ relevant subject, animal husbandry or related subjects will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm regarding conservation and animal care issues.
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
- Basic computer literacy
- Physically fit to work in an outdoor environment and in adverse weather.
- Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Able to work independently and work in a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, responsible, and friendly.
