Sustainable Living and Argriculture - Why farming matters?
Farming calendar (and what's in season)
Understanding the challenges Cultivate resilience at KFBG Why farming matters? Be the change

The 24 solar terms, based on the sun's position in the zodiac, were created by farmers in ancient China to guide the agricultural affairs and farming activities. The 24 solar reflects the change in seasons and some terms were named according to the weather and agricultural activities prevalent at the respective times of the seasons. Growing crops in season can fosters the best growth of crop with minimal external input, and therefore more sustainable.  Similarly, choosing to eat what’s in season means that ingredients have consumed less energy for growing and not travelled far to get to your plate.

Having an idea about what’s in season help you be a more sustainable consumer. The following table provides an overview on local harvest over the year.
