Staff Embark on KAAA Heritage Hunt

Activity Report

We celebrated our KFBG 60th Anniversary on 19 February 2016 by setting out on a Heritage Hunt that day to search for historical relics from the era of the Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Association (KAAA). Staff split up into groups according to their department and scoured destinations all over Hong Kong from Lam Tsuen, Lamma Island, Lai Chi Wo, Lantau Island, and Ting Kok (Tai Po).

That day we were all explorers. We worked on records that dated back to 1959 and interviewed villagers to find as many locations as we could. Locals told us many stories about the agricultural development of Hong Kong and KAAA projects. We’ve amassed all our findings into a fascinating Heritage Map and published it on our KFBG 60th Anniversary Commemorative web page. We invite you to visit and explore with us!
