As KFBG marks 70 years in Hong Kong, we invite you to join us for four special days of nature discovery. Explore the site, meet our conservation teams, and take part in selected workshops and guided tours designed to help you see wildlife and habitats in a new way.

Discover Why Biodiversity Matters
Hong Kong may be a highly urbanised city, but it is also home to a remarkable variety of wildlife and habitats. Biodiversity supports the health, balance and resilience of the natural world around us.
At KFBG, we are dedicated to conserving this precious yet fragile natural heritage. Through wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, endangered species conservation, native plant conservation, forest restoration, ecological enhancement and public education, we aim to inspire every visitor to deepen their connection with nature and take an active role in its protection. This long-term commitment was recently recognised with the world’s first Premium-Tier Certification under The Global Biodiversity Standard (TGBS).
When you visit, you are not only enjoying a day in nature — you are also connecting with the ongoing work to protect Hong Kong’s biodiversity.
The Vital Significance of Biodiversity"
A rich diversity of species helps sustain the balance of life. Healthy ecosystems provide essential benefits including clean air, fresh water and greater climate stability.
Time spent in nature can restore attention, reduce stress and renew our sense of connection with the environment. Observing wildlife and plant life invites a quieter, more grounded awareness of the world around us.
From plant conservation to wildlife monitoring, biodiversity discovery strengthens scientific literacy and encourages a thoughtful, informed respect for nature and our collective future.
