City life is bustling and hectic, characterised by a fast and chaotic pace. Submerge yourself in the arms of nature by embarking on a mindful walk. Let each step settle your mind, awakening your senses to appreciate the serenity and beauty that surrounds you. Handpick fragrant herbs from our garden, witnessing the journey from soil to cup, experiencing the pure essence of nature, while leaving behind the hustle and bustle of daily life. Engage in artistic expression, freeing your innermost emotions, weaving unique tales with colours. Let art and nature intertwine, creating a tranquil and harmonious flow. This spiritual voyage leads us to discover ourselves in nature's embrace, embracing the truths and harmonies of life.

Content (Suggestion Duration: 6 hours)

  • Tranquil Descents: Mindful Nature Walk (120 minutes)
    Immerse yourself in nature's beauty through mindful walking. Focus entirely on the present moment, awakening your senses, and deepening your connection with the natural world. Relax, unwind and find peace amidst the tranquillity of each step.
  • From Farm to Cup: Organic Herb Experience (30 minutes)
    From garden to cup, brew nature's essence in a dance of flavours and fragrances. Connect with the earth's bounty through herbal tea magic.
  • Lunchtime: Vegan Delights (60 minutes)
    Options: Vegan Bento (no extra cost) or Self-Serve Green Delights (additional cost)
    Indulge in a vegan bento provided by the Eat Well Canteen of Green Hub, offering delicious and nutritionally balanced meals to deepen the connection with nature. Participants can also order self-serve vegetarian options, selecting from a variety of seasonal dishes according to personal preferences, enjoying the flavours of the season in a free flow and self-serve dining format. Together, take action to reduce carbon footprints, protect natural resources and practise sustainable living.
  • Harmonic Creations: Nature-Inspired Art Workshop (120 minutes)
    Options: Zentangle in Nature or Pastel Nagomi art
    Practice mindfulness amid the peaceful beauty of nature. Learn to create art using natural patterns and styles, relaxing your mind, deepening your connection with nature and gently expressing your true self in the process.

Target Audience
①Adult Workshop: Aged 18 and above
②Family Workshop: Children aged 6-12 and their parents. Every child must be accompanied by an adult.
No prior art background is required. Open to individuals from all walks of life.

Transportation

  • We encourage visitors to use public transportation to reduce carbon footprint. Click HERE for details.
  • Parking spaces are extremely limited at our venue. Participants must reserve parking spaces online in advance.
  • If needed, shuttle bus services (additional cost) can be arranged to and from our venue and Kowloon Tong Station/Tai Po Market Station.

Notes
Payment is not refundable after acceptance, unless the programme is cancelled due to inclement weather.

  • Kadoorie Earth Programme (KEP) is an initiative co-created by KFBG and its network of collaborators and volunteers. By integrating the various strands of KFBG’s nature conservation, sustainable living and holistic education programmes, it provides life-transforming learning experiences that reconnect people with themselves, each other and the rest of nature and enable them to cultivate resilience in the face of global challenges.

KFBG organises a variety of art workshops including Zentangle drawing, sketching and wood art, and exhibitions to guide participants, with or without artistic background, to create nature art.
  • Nature Education Programmes: Become animal detectives and explore the mysteries of wild animals. Use different senses to discover the beauty of plants. Learn about the significance of forest, trees and even soils through field visits, experiments and woodwork, to reconnect with nature.
  • Group Guided Tours: Led by trained environmental interpreters, the content includes experiential and hands-on activities. We encourage a passion for nature, conservation and ecology by nurturing an appreciation of the natural world.

  • Corporate Programmes: Our Holistic Education Department staff can design either half-day or full-day nature education and art programmes for  corporate staff or their family members based on specific needs. Leveraging the unique natural landscape and cultural ambiance of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, our activities may include guided tours, farm-to-table experiences, nature-based workshops, talks and art activities, aiming to promote understanding and practice of sustainable living for organisations.
