Impressions, Expressions|Plant Propagation & Ecology Workshop

Coinciding with the botanical art exhibition ‘Impressions, Expressions – feeling & depicting nature’, KFBG is offering special workshops that provide an interactive experience for the participants to gain deeper insights into the diversity of Hong Kong's native plants, while learning hands-on, practical conservation techniques. The workshop will be led by Craig Williams, Horticultural Manager from the Flora Conservation Department in KFBG.

Participants will be guided through our Native Plants Nursery, have the opportunity to discover the significance of local species and learn about KFBG’s work to conserve rare native species. They will join us in the fight against invasive plants, learning to identify some of the worst and helping to remove them whilst learning about their impact on our ecosystems. Finally, there will be a demonstration of vegetative propagation and a chance to take home the results. Join us for an enriching day of learning, exploration, and action in preserving Hong Kong's unique plant heritage!

Places are limited, so interested members of the public are encouraged to register and join us in protecting Hong Kong's precious plant resources.
