KFBG “Good Life” Festival ~ Celebrate Nature's Gifts and Learn how to Live more Sustainably with Earth's Rhythms ~

Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden will organize our yearly large-scale event - KFBG “Good Life” Festival from 2nd to 3rd November, 2013. Through various activities, participants can experience the spirit of sustainable living in a relaxing environment.

During the festival, exceptional produce from local organic farms, products from social enterprises and handicrafts will be available in the Green Market. There will be interactive *ECO-Workshops on vegetable gardening, low carbon cookery, sun-dried vegetable making, food waste composting, beekeeping and ginger ale brewing. Participants will be able to learn about sustainable living in other programmes, such as Hakka culture exhibition, Ground Tea (Lei Cha) demonstration and other hands-on activities.

Besides, local art groups are invited to build the festival spirit. The arts programme includes: **Documentary Theatre “Redevelopment”, Puppet Show, Accordion, Folk Song and Cappella performance.

Furthermore, animal lovers are welcome to join the “Animal Encounters” and “Dancing with Snakes” exhibition and art workshop. Visitors can have a close contact experience with the animals and understand more about the wildlife in Hong Kong and the threats they are facing.

All are welcome to participate in the KFBG “Good Life” Festival. Please travel green and use public transport to KFBG. To help reduce waste, please bring your own shopping bag, eating utensils and water bottle to the Festival.
