Working with farmers

Supporting Local Farmers and Markets

Marketing and sales are vital components of supporting local agriculture. Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) maintains close ties with many local organic farmers and assists them in promoting high-quality local produce through the following initiatives:

Central Farmers’ Market

Held regularly at Star Ferry Central Pier No. 7, providing a platform for farmers to sell directly to the public.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) / Co-buying Schemes

Stabilising support for local organic farming through the power of collective purchasing. We also organise “Co-Learning on Farms” activities, where participants can visit the farms that supply vegetables for the CSA scheme and learn about local produce and their origins.
