Central Farmers’ Market
What volunteers do
- Venue set-up and dismantling (physical work required)
- Assisting with activities and stall operators
- Keeping good order at the event
- Clearing the site
- Other related tasks
The Central Farmers’ Market is a weekly event for the general public, held every Sunday at Star Ferry Central Pier no. 7. It is co-organised by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden and The ‘Star’ Ferry Company Ltd. Alongside direct sales of fresh organic vegetables from local farmers, the market offers earth-friendly products, local handicrafts, sustainable living education activities and exhibitions.
Remarks
- To thank volunteers for their time and talent, a service testimonial is awarded to those who have served at least 10 times at the Central Farmers’ Market.
- Parking at KFBG is limited, so volunteers are encouraged to use public transport.
